Spa Etiquette & FAQs

All prices, services and hours of operation at Blissfully Serene Spa are subject to change without prior notification. Please call to confirm current rates, services and hours of operation or refer to our Facebook page, Blissfully Serene Spa. Our front desk receptionist is here to assist you in planning the perfect spa experience that best suits your needs. 

At Blissfully Serene Spa & Salon we strive to not only offer the best treatments, but are constantly researching new and improved treatments and techniques. Our team of trained therapists and technicians are always working towards broadening our treatment spectrum. Our goal is to be as accommodating to our clients as we possibly can. When arriving at the spa, you will be taken to our locker rooms to slip into a comfy robe. If you arrive early you have the options of complimentary sauna, spa water, hot tea, wine, or mimosa. We have warm neck wraps to help you slip into complete relaxation.

We offer a wide variety of treatments and services and we guarantee that you will find a service that suits your every need! We want to make every visit with us an Ultimate Relaxation Experience with every single service from our spa to the salon!

Blissfully Serene Spa strives to be a peaceful and relaxing environment. We ask that you please be courteous to other guests that are visiting our facility. 

Appointment Scheduling 

You can book an appointment in person, via phone and online. Please visit our Contact tab for more information. In order to secure your preferred services, dates and times, credit card information is required upon booking the desired service, date and time. Credit Card information that is provided upon booking will not be charged unless Rescheduling, Cancellation & "No Show" Policies are not met. We highly recommend scheduling appointments a minimum of two weeks in advance for individual weekday and weekend bookings, and three to four weeks in advance for individual or group spa packages for weekday or weekend bookings. Please refer to the Rescheduling, Cancellation & "No Show" Policies for further information upon booking. 

Guest under the age of 18 will be required to have a parent or legal guardian present with them at Blissfully Serene Spa and will need to have parent or legal guardian sign our Consent For Treatment Form included with our intake form. 

Tiered Pricing 

Prices vary by spa provider and are subject to change without notice. Service providers work under tier pricing bracket, meaning, expertise, work experience, amount of time at the spa, as well as, goals within the spa, contribute to price differences within each service provider for his/her services. 

Spa Etiquette

What Do I Bring?

For the treatments, you are to undress to your comfort level. During all treatments the only area of the body that is not completely draped is the area that is being worked on. We provide you with a robe and slippers in the event that you have multiple services that require you to undress. Complimentary spa water is provided. We recommend you come in clothing that you feel most comfortable in.  

What Do I Leave At Home?

Alcohol is not permitted in Blissfully Serene Spa and is not recommended before or after a treatment. It is not recommended to bring any item or items that you consider valuable as Blissfully Serene Spa will not be held liable for any stolen, missing or damaged item(s). 

Gratuities 

Blissfully Serene Spa does not charge a service fee. At your discretion you may leave a gratuity for your therapists. Gratuities are not expected but very much appreciated.  

What Time Do I Arrive?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment in order to allow ample time to check in and fill out an intake form if needed. If you are wanting to use the complimentary sauna prior to your appointment, please arrive 35 minutes early.

Cellphones 

Cellphones are allowed at Blissfully Serene Spa. We do ask that you please be courteous of other guests and silence your cellphone when entering the facility. 

Services Refund Policy

While we strive to make every single client that comes through our door as happy as possible, all sale are final. We are a small local business and unfortunately cannot offer refunds/credit on any used or unused appointments/sessions for individual services, service packages, gift certificates, or service series.

Gift Certificates 

Gift Certificates are available for any dollar amount or service at Blissfully Serene Spa. We offer physical gift certificates that you can purchase in person at our shop or gift certificates that can be purchased over the phone and online, and be sent via email. Gift Certificates are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. If a gift certificate holder that books an appointment then cancels/reschedules less than 24 hours prior to their appointments, they will be charged 50% of the services booked, which will be taken off of the gift certificate. If the holder forgets or consciously forgoes their scheduled appointment, they will then be charged 100% of the services booked, which is also taken off of the gift certificate.

Gift certificates must be present at the time of purchase/usage. Lost or stolen gift cards CANNOT be redeemed or replaced.

Appointment Expectations

Our service providers carefully construct their schedules to accommodate our clients and their home lives. Your continued support, timely arrival, and clear communication, allows our service providers to make a living doing what they love.

Typically, clients will receive a reminder of their appointment as a courtesy. However, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure their appointments are kept.

Our business has set expectations with careful consideration of our service providers as well as our clients’ time. Thank you for understanding and respecting these policies.

Late Arrivals

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. Please be aware that arriving late to your appointment may require us to shorten the length of your treatment so that other guests are not inconvenienced. Additionally, you may be charged an inconvenience fee.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

If you are unable to keep your appointment please give us the courtesy of advance notice so we might be able to service other clients.

 

You must notify Blissfully Serene for cancellations or to reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Failure to notify within 24 hours of your appointment will result in an automatic charge.

 

Cancellations or rescheduled appointments with less than 24 hour notice will result in an automatic 50% charge of the treatment price.

“No Shows”

Forgetting or consciously forgoing your appointment will result in an automatic 100% charge of the treatment price.

Deposits

Frequent rescheduling, last minute cancellations, and “no shows” are impermissible and negatively affect our small business. When necessary, Blissfully Serene will be enforcing a non-refundable deposit during the booking process.

 

If you reschedule an appointment two consecutive times, you will be asked to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit upon booking another appointment.

If an appointment with a deposit paid for in advance has been rescheduled or cancelled two consecutive times no refund will be issued.

As a business, we reserve the right to refuse any service to anyone.

FAQs

Waxing

We recommend that for a Brazilian, bikini, arm, leg and underarm wax session, the hair be at least 1/4 inch long, to allow the wax to grip around the hair. If it is your first time waxing we recommend you refrain from shaving for at least two weeks before your scheduled appointment. If at anytime you feel discomfort please inform the esthetician. 

Facials

Before scheduling a facial, please be aware of what skin care products you are using. If you have a concern with your skin inform our Esthetician so that they are able to set up a skin care plan with you. 

Be conscious about upcoming important events, such as weddings etc.  If you are wanting to book a facial or any type of treatment that we offer, it is recommended that you book 2-4 weeks prior to any big and/or important event.
